Juventus and Arsenal could agree swap deal involving Brazilian midfielder

Serie A giants, Juventus have demanded that the Gunners midfield destroyer Thomas Partey be included in any potential deal for Brazilian midfielder Arthur, according to a report.

The North London giants have reportedly been interested in a move for the ex-Barcelona midfielder this January, however, Juventus’ demands could be set to scupper their interest.

Sky Sports Italia report that the Italian outfit will only sanction a bid for the 25-year-old if they are given the Gunners Ghanaian midfielder in exchange.

After struggling for form and fitness for much of his Gunners career, Partey has been a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s team so far this campaign, featuring in 16 Premier League matches to this stage, before heading off to represent Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

With Arteta rumoured to be interested in adding more depth to the centre of midfield, a swap deal with Italian giants seems unlikely, particularly with the growing importance of Partey in his starting 11.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian midfielder’s current deal in Turin ends in the summer of 2025, and he has featured in just eight Serie A games so far this campaign, of which only four have been started.
