Juventus keep a close tabs on €35m-rated Liverpool striker

Juventus are ready to make a move for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino in winter. Brazil international’s deal at Merseyside giants is ready to expire next summer, meaning he can sign a pre-contract agreement with other teams in winter, and won’t cost them a penny.

The Reds managed to tie Salah down to a new deal, and they’ll be hoping they can do the same for Roberto in the coming months. However, if they can’t convince Firmino to put pen to paper, the Bianconeri will look to make a move to add the centre-forward in winter, as seen in the tweet below.

Due to his age and the recent signing of Darwin Nunez, the Merseyside giants may want to cash in on the 30-year-old centre-forward. However, tieing him down to a new deal will be necessary if they want to avoid him leaving on a free transfer in winter.

The Brazilian striker still has the ability to play a crucial role at Anfield especially as Nunez will take some time to adapt to life in the PL. With the introduction of five substitutions and the Reds likely to compete in the latter stages of many tournaments, the Brazilian’s game time shouldn’t be too limited despite the new signing in the front-line.

The Reds’ number nine has looked more like his old self this campaign and already has three goals and three assists to his name. The German manager will not want to see further disruption especially if there are signs that the South American striker, who can be such a crucial figure for the Reds, is returning to something like his best.
