La Liga side Valencia are leading the chase to land Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan, according to reports in the Spanish media.
The Belgian star spent the second half of last campaign on loan with Borussia Dortmund in Germany, after struggling to nail down a systematic spot in the first half of the term.
In spite of impressing with Die Rotten, netting nine goals in 14 games, Batshuayi’s position at the Blues has been uncertain during the summer, leading to reports of an imminent exit.
Currently, it appears that Spain international Alvaro Morata and former Arsenal player Olivier Giroud are ahead of the 24-year old star in the pecking order, and so a loan away looks like the natural next step.
And according to the Spanish outlet El Desmarque, as reported by Football.London, the one-time Marseille forward prefers a switch to the Mestalla this summer.
Valencia are currently in the transfer market for reinforcements as they look to bolster attacking options ahead of the new season, and Michy Batshuayi could well be the perfect signing to help the club achieve that.
