Manchester United are plotting a move to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to the latest reports.
Oblak, regarded as one of the finest shot-stoppers in Europe, has amassed 174 matches since joining Los Rojiblancos back in 2014 but the 25-year-old star has consistently been connected with a switch to the Premier League.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea were eyeing Oblak in the summer window, before signing Alisson and Kepa respectively, and Manchester United are now monitoring the Slovenia international star.
iNews suggest the Red Devils are resigned to losing Spaniard to Paris Saint-Germain and Oblak has appeared as a serious target.
Oblak has a £87 million release clause in his current contract and his club have been trying to double this wages since the summer without success.
Everton and England number one Jordan Pickford is also on Manchester United’s radar. The club believe the goalkeeper has enormous potential and have been impressed with the star’s ability on the ball and shot-stopping.
David is out of contract at the end of the campaign and Jose Mourinho fired a warning at the club’s board after the Spaniard’s heroics in the UCL on Tuesday night.
