Liverpool eyeing move for 15-goals in 36-games La Liga striker

Liverpool have allegedly earmarked Getafe forward Enes Unal as a perfect replacement for the outgoing Divock Origi.

His contract at Anfield will run out at the end of the current term, and the Belgian attacker is expected to finalise a free transfer to AC Milan during this summer’s transfer window.

Manager Jurgen Klopp still has Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane capable of operating through the middle, but the Merseyside giants’ boss is still supposedly keen to fill the Origi-sized void in the roster.

According to Turkish paper Fanatik – via Calciomercato – Azulones number nine has been identified as a possible signing, with the 24-year-old star impressing in La Liga this term.

He has struck 15 goals in 32 La Liga games for his bottom-half side in the 2021-22 season, including strikes versus the likes of Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

The frontman has netted twice in 26 senior outings for his country’s national team, meanwhile, and the current deal with his side is not due to expire until June 2025.

Meantime, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has received the award of the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year for the 2021-22 term.

The 29-year-old Egypt international took 48 per cent of the vote to win it for the second time.
