Liverpool will have to part with at least €40 million to have a chance of signing Torino defender, Bremer, a report from Calciomercato.it says.
This season, he has made 29 Serie A outings and has been one of their best players in a campaign that has seen I Granata improve significantly on last year’s finish.
The player was especially impressive in his side’s recent 0-0 draw versus league leaders AC Milan.
The defender was probably the best player on the field, winning five ground duels, making three tackles, four interceptions and six clearances.
Bremer’s recent form has been superb, which has put a few European heavyweights on alert, including the Reds.
Inter Milan and I Rossoneri are eager to land the centre-back, who has just over two terms remaining on his contract with Il Toro.
But eye-catching showings in big matches are drawing interest from the English sides as well, with Jurgen Klopp and co. exploring the possibility of bringing him to Merseyside.
Other than Virgil van Dijk, they signed Ibrahima Konate last year, whereas Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are also among their central defensive variants.
The England international has been linked with Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa recently, and thus the Anfield outfit could look to add a new player at the back this summer.
But with the Italians demanding €40 million for their prized asset, it’ll be interesting to see if any of his potential buyers will shell out such a fee.
