Liverpool and Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo and they could make their move at the end of the campaign. Ecuador international has established himself as a crucial figure for the Seagulls since joining the club in 2021 for a fee of nearly £4.5m.
Moises is highly rated in the PL, and he has a big future ahead of him. It is no surprise that the PL big guns are eyeing up a potential move for him in the coming months. Both Chelsea and Liverpool could use more quality and depth in their midfield, and Caicedo would be a quality long-term acquisition for them.
The Reds’ midfield worries are well documented, and the German coach will need to bring in a quality replacement for Milner. Furthermore, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita and Thiago have all been injury prone in recent campaigns, and Liverpool must dip into the transfer market to bring in a couple of central midfielders.
The Ecuadorian can operate as a central midfielder as well as a defensive midfielder, and the technically-gifted teenager would be up quality fit for Jurgen Klopp’s style of play at Anfield. The Ecuadorian midfielder has shown his quality in the PL with the club, and there is no reason why he cannot adapt to Liverpool’s high-pressing style of play.
A world-class coach like Jurgen Klopp could help him fulfil his tremendous potential at Liverpool. In addition, the South American midfielder is not the only central midfielder Liverpool are keeping tabs on.
