Liverpool keeping tabs with €85m-rated Germany international

The German manager has reportedly identified Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich as a transfer target. The report explains that Jurgen Klopp is looking at several Bundesliga-based footballers at the moment, following his summer raid on the Bavarians for Thiago Alcantara.

The German manager also looked at Timo Werner before his move to Chelsea, while Germany international is now on his list of targets along with RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano.

Reds supporters would no doubt be happy to see Joshua at Liverpool, with the midfielder showing himself to be a tremendously intelligent and versatile player in his time at the Allianz Arena.

Still only 25 years of age, the 25-year-old midfielder has already played 233 matches for Bayern in all tournaments, winning five Bundesliga titles and the UCL, alongside other major honours.

Primarily a right-back, Joshua can also play in midfield and could be a hugely useful signing for this Reds side after their recent struggles with injuries. One imagines, however, that it will be very difficult to persuade the Bavarians to let such an important footballer go as he approaches his peak years.

Liverpool have been dropping like flies in recent weeks. Virgil Van Dijk and summer signing Thiago haven’t been seen since the Merseyside Derby, while Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Trent-Alexander Arnold have all suffered with problems of their own since.
