Liverpool are reportedly gravely considering a summer move to re-sign Suso from the Serie A giants AC Milan.
The 24-year-old winger has confirmed himself as one of Rossoneri’s most important players in the latest times and has subsequently drawn the attention of clubs across the continent.
Suso developed through the ranks at the Reds after joining the youth academy in 2010 but failed to truly live up to his talent at the club.
He has impressed throughout his tenure in Serie A and according to football transfers Italian website Calciomercato, Liverpool are heavily contemplating making a swoop for Suso in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League giants will be out to further bolster their attacking options in the summer transfer market, with Philippe Coutinho still yet to be substituted following his January move to Barcelona.
It’s stated that Suso’s deal at San Siro includes a buyout (release) clause worth €40 million, which the Reds may be tempted to trigger if they are indeed out to recruit the stunning Spanish playmaker.
This season, in all competitions, Suso has made 50 appearances, netted 8 goals and provided 14 assists.
The Serie A giants AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly appeared as a possible summer target for Liverpool.
Throughout the second half of the season, Loris Karius confirmed himself as Jurgen Klopp’s No.1 at Anfield, but doubts remain over the futures of Belgium international Simon Mignolet and Welsh ‘keeper Danny Ward.
According to the Italian national sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool may choose to swoop for highly-rated Gianluigi Donnarumma, who could be obtainable with AC Milan having missed out on the Champions League football.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper is considered to be one of AC Milan’s most prized assets, but a combination of Spain international Pepe Reina having already been signed for next campaign and the Italian club having to fulfil Financial Fair Play criteria could lead to a sale.
Although, according to another the Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Rossoneri are only willing to part ways for a sum in the region of £60m with the wonderkid still having three years remaining on his deal.
Ligue 1 and UCL giants Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be closely monitoring the situation.
According to James Pearce of the English newspaper Liverpool Echo, the Premier League giants Liverpool will not be pursuing a deal for Stoke City shot-stopper Jack Butland.
England international has been relegated with his team from EPL and will most likely be searching for a new club if Jack wants to keep his dream of being England’s No.1 goalkeeper alive.
James had this to say about the speculations arising again:
“Earlier in the season, I was told that talk of LFC signing Butland was nonsense and I’m not aware of that position changing. Personally, I don’t think he would be an improvement on Karius.”
The Reds have had their fair share of goalkeeping troubles this year but Loris Karius has improved extremely since the start of the campaign where German ‘keeper was being shot down by critics after a string of disappointing performances.
Liverpool are possible to let Belgium international Simon Mignolet leave in the summer so unless the club want to go into next campaign with Danny Ward as the second choice, then the club’s management will need to sign a substitution for the outgoing Simon Mignolet.
