Liverpool star Adam Lallana has been connected with a move away from the Reds next summer, with Southampton thought to be interested in bringing the 30-year-old back to the club, reports say.
Adam has struggled greatly with injuries in the latest years and has started just four games this season, prompting rumours of a possible move away from Anfield in search of regular senior-team football.
News of his current situation comes from the Daily Mirror, who note that the Reds are targeting a host of midfielders who could help bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer market.
The likes of Sporting CP attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Barcelona ace Malcom are reportedly being monitored, and landing either one would likely push Adam closer to the exit door.
If Reds do deem the star surplus to requirements, a return to St. Mary’s Stadium with the Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side could be on the cards.
The England international Lallana joined Southampton as a 12-year-old and went on to prove himself as an EPL player alongside the likes of Nathaniel Clyne and Luke Shaw.
He made a total of 260 matches for the club, 42 of which came in the successful 2013/14 campaign.
The star racked up a superb ten goals and eight assists and found himself named in the PFA Team of the Year, along with a teammate Luke.
As a result of his stunning form, he earned a £25 million move to Anfield outfit following the conclusion of the 2014 World Cup.
Englishman was a regular part of the Reds lineup for three seasons, before injuries began to have a massive impact on his professional career.
One-time Birmingham City player Michael Johnson has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool would be the ideal destination for Che Adams if the forward is to leave St Andrew’s this summer transfer window, speaking to a British daily tabloid newspaper the Daily Express.
Adams is enjoying the best campaign of his career at his side, taking his tally to 21 EFL Championship goals for the term with two clinically-taken finishes in last weekend’s 2-2 home draw with Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers.
In fact, Che has become the first player since a former English forward Trevor Francis in 1978 to net 20 league goals in one of the top two tiers.
As a result, a wealth of Premier League clubs have been connected with TEAMtalk stating that Tottenham Hotspur have sent scouts to watch the player in action.
And Michael believes that a move to Spurs would be perfect for Che while the Reds would also suit a star who has been transformed from a wide player into a ruthless striker by Garry Monk at Birmingham City.
“Che Adams is a real rough diamond for Birmingham. I could see Adams at Tottenham, with the way they play. I think he would also fit in perfectly at a team like Liverpool.” Michael told Express Sport.
TEAMtalk added that Birmingham City are willing to sell their key man this summer if any interested parties plot an offer of £20m.
And Che’s add some much-needed depth in the attack if a move to Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur is really on the cards.
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly planning to sign German trio Philipp Max, Maximilian Eggestein and long-term Liverpool target Timo Werner in the summer.
While die Borrusen are enjoying one of their best campaigns in the latest years, the last few weeks have shown the football fans that there are still quite a few weak areas in the team, which need to be bolstered in the summer.
A host of players have been connected with the Black and Yellows in the latest months.
And according to a German outlet SportBILD, Michael Zorc and co. are hoping to strengthen the squad with the talented German trio of Maximilian Eggestein, Timo Werner and Philipp Max.
SportBILD said in January that Werner was a target for the Bundesliga title chasers, a claim which was denied by Kicker, who said that the club have no interest in landing him.
Werner’s deal with RB Leipzig expires in 2020, and it looks extremely unlikely that the striker will sign an extension.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also thought to be keen on signing the 22-year-old. While Timo is a proven goalscorer in the German top flight, it remains to be seen if the German is the perfect fit for Lucien Favre’s system.
Another star being linked is Augsburg full-back, Philipp Max. With Marcel Schmelzer and Lukasz Piszczek nearing the end of their professional careers, it makes a lot of sense for the club to invest in a quality left-back.
Werder Bremen star Maximilian Eggestein is also understood to be a target, and with his current contract expiring in 2020, he would be an inexpensive option.
