Liverpool planning surprise move for No.11 Ligue 1 centre-forward

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a big fan of Nice striker Amine Gouiri as he seems for a replacement for Roberto Firmino. Liverpool could do with making some changes upfront in the near future after a dip in form from Firmino in recent times, and Amine seems like a hugely promising player who could be a perfect long-term successor to the Brazilian at Anfield.

The German tactician has an interest in the French striker, and Gouiri could cost the club nearly €30m. That looks a pretty decent price to pay for such a promising young footballer, who looks to have the skills and attributes to make him a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s style of football.

Even if Firmino seems slightly past his peak, the Brazilian striker has had a great career at Anfield and won’t be an easy player to replace. Amine, however, seems like he could adjust well to playing that false-9 role in a similar way to Firmino, so Liverpool supporters will surely hope there’s the potential to get a deal done.

The French centre-forward might not be the biggest name in world football right now, but the France Under-21 international scored 16 goals in all tournaments last campaign and has an excellent record of four goals and one assist in four Ligue 1 games so far this term.
