Liverpool are allegedly ‘still interested’ in landing West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen in the future.
The Anfield side will continue to monitor the 24-year-old star after it was revealed in July that the Reds were admirers of the former Hull City man.
The transfer window will close in the coming hours and Liverpool have been relatively inactive in the market thus far.
According to a recent report from The Athletic, as quoted by Football Transfers on Twitter, senior members from Merseyside will keep an eye on his progress.
The report names strength in first-choice quartet Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Fimino and Diogo Jota, as well as backup in the Japan star Takumi Minamino, as the reason behind not launching a move this summer.
Meanwhile, the Belgian forward Divock Origi could still depart Anfield before Tuesday’s 11:00pm deadline.
It makes perfect sense to keep tabs on the player’s development in only his second full Premier League season.
Whilst this transfer window may prove to be a quiet one on the transfer front, with the famed front three of Firmino, Mane and Salah all passing 30 over the next one year, a reshuffle looks to be imminent.
Albeit £27 million rated Bowen may not be every Liverpool fans idea of a marquee signing, the recent track record at the club would suggest that recruitment is in very capable hands.
