Liverpool have been connected with teenage forward Víctor Cristopher De Baunbag, who has been tipped to make a breakthrough at Spanish club Real Mallorca, according to recent reports from Spain.
The 18-year-old ace, whose family comes from Cameroon but was himself born in the Spanis capital, has come through the academy ranks at the second-division Spanish side.
Victor has spent three seasons in the youth ranks at Real Mallorca and finished as the club’s top scorer every campaign, leading the youngster to a promotion to the club’s ‘B’ team.
According to a Spanish daily sports newspaper Sport, he will drop into the U18s set-up to play the bigger fixtures, with De Baunbag primed to face off against Barcelona this weekend.
The story suggests he is expected to earn senior-team minutes with Mallorca by the end of the season, with the six foot two inches forward considered an ideal fit for the Premier League.
This, evidently, has alerted Reds’ scouts, with Sport claiming they have been keeping a close eye on his progress for a while, with the star’s agency aware of the interest.
