Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is keen to join Serie Juventus if the Red Devils decide to sell him in the summer transfer window.
The former Everton striker, who has joined the Old Trafford club in an initial £75 million deal, has scored only nine goals this season. Lukaku has also lost his place as Man United’s first-choice striker since the departure of Jose Mourinho, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring Marcus Rashford to be the main attacker up front.
As per The Sun, the Red Devils are considering selling the Belgium international this summer. And Lukakus preferred destination would be a move to Juventus.
A source close to Man United told The Sun: ‘He is an absolutely massive fan of Ronaldo. He has lost his regular spot but not rocked the boat at all so far. ‘The feelers are already out in both camps. We’ll have to wait and see but it’s going to be a busy summer.’
Meanwhile, Man United caretaker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident that Belgian powerhouse can find his best form for the rest of the campaign after the forward admitted that he put on too much muscle ahead of Belgium’s run in World Cup last summer.
During his interview, Solskjaer said: ‘I can understand why, when you go to a World Cup and see the teams you play, the physicality might take over in terms of your preparation.
‘We ask our forwards to work at a higher intensity, to run in behind, but that’s what he likes, so I’m sure he’ll be fine. Muscle is not so difficult to get rid of. He’s lean, but he’s muscly. We’ll get him in the box and scoring us goals, that’ll be his job.’ Added the hero of 1999 Champions League final.
