West Ham United have received an offer in excess of £35 million from a Chinese Super League side for their forward and reported Manchester United target Marko Arnautovic.
The Austria international star was bought for £24 million by Slaven Bilic 18 months ago and, after an unproductive start, has achieved talismanic status at the London Stadium.
The Red Devils reportedly identified the 29-year-old star as a potential target in the summer window as they sought back-up for Romelu Lukaku, while Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are said to be considering the one-time Stoke forward as a potential alternative to Argentine star Gonzalo Higuain.
The unnamed Chinese side are said to have offered Marko a dizzying salary but, according to talkSPORT, West Ham United are determined to keep hold of their star forward in the January window.
In spite of have been restricted to 17 matches in all competitions this campaign due to injuries, Arnautovic has netted eight goals in all competitions including three in his last two games.
Speaking regarding his future in November, Arnautovic said: ‘I’m 29, so that’s the best age. ‘It’s clear that I want to compete with the best players. But in this affair I totally trust my brother.’
