Man United given green light to sign No.7 English forward

Man United are reportedly closing in on a bargain transfer deal for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The deal is edging closer for England international to move to Man United, with personal terms agreed and the two teams now finalising the details of his transfer fee.

Jadon seems ready to cost £82m this summer, a big reduction on the £108m Man United were told to pay for him last year. Sancho is now described as closing in on a move to the Theatre of Dreams, in what could be a huge boost for the Norwegian manager this summer.

The Red Devils came close to challenging rivals Man City for the PL title last campaign but ultimately didn’t have quite enough in them to stay close to the eventual champions.

A signing like Jadon could give Red Devils more spark in the front-line, coming in as a much-needed upgrade on inconsistent performers like Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Daniel James. Sancho has shone in the Bundesliga and it seems clear he could make an impact at a bigger club after his rapid development at Signal Iduna Park.

Attacking full-backs are a hugely important part of the game now, with Luke Shaw doing well in that department for the Red Devils last campaign, while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and Kyle Walker have also been hugely important footballers for Man United’s rivals.
