Man United will go all out for Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho this summer. England international was strongly linked with the Red Devils in the summer of 2020, with Man United tabled a €100m bid in hope of convincing Dortmund to part with the teenager.
However, the Bundesliga side held firm, with Sancho’s return to Man United being prevented, for the time being, anyway. The Red Devils are refusing to throw in the towel in their pursuit of the English winger, with Ed Woodward plotting another move for the attacker this summer.
Borussia Dortmund are in danger of missing out on UCL qualification, which could have major financial implications for the club, especially in the midst of the Covid pandemic. Jadon’s release clause stands at €120m, so if that were to be paid, Dortmund would not be able to stand in his way.
Time will tell if the Red Devils are prepared to stump up the cash. Red Devils signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax last summer, but with that move not having paid off, further midfield reinforcements could be required. Whether Ruben Neves will be the man through the door remains to be seen.
Neves is high on the Red Devils list of targets for this summer, with Man United expected to open negotiations over signing the 24-year-old soon.
