Tottenham’s intent to sign Jules Kounde may have been denied, but there’s still huge interest in getting a deal for him done this summer. France international, who was included in Didier Deschamps’ squad for the Euro 2020 competition on the back of a strong campaign with Sevilla, has been linked with a host of Europe’s elite.
Tottenham have been mentioned as a side with genuine intent to sign the defender, but the suggestion of any contact between the Spurs and Sevilla has since been denied.
At 22-years-old, Jules could stick around with the Spanish side for another campaign in order to continue his development, or he could still get a move away from the club this summer.
The report mentions that Man United, Man City, Napoli and Real Madrid are all still in the running to sign Jules, which could present him with a chance to jump ship before the end of the window.
Meanwhile, Varane is in the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu so his future does look to be in some doubt, but it stays to be seen if he’ll definitely end up joining the Norwegian manager’s side, or if he could be persuaded to stay in the Spanish capital.
