Man United in bidding war for €35m-rated Bundesliga striker

While Man United’s interest in Patrik Schick has already been documented, the Red Devils are keeping tabs on yet another Bundesliga striker in the form of Andre Silva. Man United rate Portugal international highly and could make a move if Cristiano Ronaldo departs from Theatre of Dreams, after recently handing in a transfer request.

Silva has been a reliable goalscorer since arriving in the Bundesliga. Andre had recorded 45 goals in 71 games during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt before earning a move to RB Leipzig last summer. Although his move to RB Leipzig hasn’t quite been a success, the Portuguese striker was still able to rack up 17 goals in all tournaments last campaign.

Standing at 1.85m, the 26-year-old striker is a centre-forward, who is primarily known for his aerial prowess. The Portuguese centre-forward can be quite lethal from crosses and has a fantastic sense of positioning that allows him to get into excellent positions.

It makes Silva a lethal goalscorer, who has already plundered 51 goals in less than 100 Bundesliga games. Andre’s sensational goalscoring record in the Bundesliga has not gone unnoticed, with the Red Devils weighing up a move for the Portuguese centre-forward.

The PL giants are aware of Andre’s credentials and his ability to perform at the highest level of football. With Leipzig already losing a few star footballers in the summer, the club will be keen on retaining the services of Silva as they look to mount a title charge in the Bundesliga during the 2022/23 season.
