Man United in the hunt to sign 19-year-old Premier League midfielder

Man United enter the battle to sign Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia. U21 Belgium international has been fantastic of late and has attracted a lot of attention from teams around Europe. Romeo joined Southampton ahead of the ongoing campaign from Man City.

The Saints paid up to £14m to acquire Lavia. The 19-year-old midfielder has a five-year contract with the club. But, the Belgian midfielder might leave Southampton just a year after joining them because of the interest from elsewhere. The Saints are fighting for survival in the ongoing campaign.


Romeo has become an integral part of the team since joining them. Lavia has 21 games in the ongoing campaign and has two goal contributions. His displays haven’t gone unnoticed and many teams are set to enter a bidding war for the Belgian.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are keen on having the 19-year-old midfielder in their ranks. Erik ten Hag has done wonders at the club post his arrival. Man United are ready to return to the Champions League and will also push for the PL title next campaign.
