Italian club Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic has admitted it is a dream of his to play in the Premier League.
The Croatia international star was one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets in 2017 but Red Devils didn’t believe he was worth the Nerazzurri’s £50m valuation at the time.
The 29-year-old star was identified by Manchester United’s manager as the player to fill the left-wing berth in his team but the club were unwilling to offer more than £40m for his services.
Perisic has mentioned as a potential target for the club again this summer after he shone at this year’s World Cup, netting in the semi-final and final, but the ship is now believed to have sailed.
However, the technically gifted attacker still harbours ambitions to play in English top flight before he retires.
“I have always said that [playing in the Premier League] is my dream.”
“In football everything is possible, we will see in the future. Now, I’m focusing on Inter.” – Ivan said in a press conference ahead of his side’s Champions League match against Tottenham at Wembley.
