It has been reported that The Red Devils will reject any offer for the local youngster and star Marcus Rashford in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to sports TV channel ESPN.
Rashford has been subject to rumours as reports suggest that he will depart from Old Trafford in an attempt to get more senior-team football.
In the attack of José Mourinho’s team, the 20-year-old has to compete with the likes of Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard for places.
After all, during Mourinho’s time at the Theatre of Dreams, Marcus has made more matches (97 out of a potential 112) than any player in the Portuguese coach’s squad.
Marcus said about holding this record of the Jose era (via ESPN):
“I wasn’t aware of it before I saw it and it’s something to be proud of.”
“But we always want more and we always want to show progression individually and as a team, so the numbers don’t really matter as much as the results do to me.”
Rashford’s current deal at Old Trafford runs out in 2020, with The Red Devils having the option to extend this by a one year.
