The Red Devils are all set to make a £35 million swoop for England and Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire upcoming summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.
Although placed second in the Premier League standings at the moment, Manchester United have fallen well short of leaders Manchester City in the hunt for the title.
Jose Mourinho has come under plenty of pressure as a result, and he is now viewing more world-class talent to try and get his side to put up a proper challenge for the Premier League trophy in what would be Jose’s third season at the Old Trafford.
Bolstering the defence is one of his prime concerns at the moment, with Chris Smalling clearly not the defender to be at the heart of a trophy contender’s defence.
The one-time Chelsea manager is, consequently, eyeing Leicester City central defender Harry Maguire, who has been one the best centre-backs in the Premier League current season.
Manchester United would be ready to spend £35 million for the 25-year old, which is more than double of the £17 million that the Foxes spent for him to Hull City previous summer.
