Kevin Phillips believes Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not good enough to play for the Red Devils and has tipped the defender to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The 24-year-old player has fallen out of favour at the Premier League giants this season after a drop-off in performance.
He sat out the club’s defeat at Arsenal last weekend having lost his starting place to the Portugal international Diogo Dalot in the latest matches, with reports saying interim boss Ralf Rangick does not rate him.
Kevin says the ex-Crystal Palace man doesn’t possess the quality to play for the 20-time English champions and thinks he may be sold by incoming coach Erik ten Hag at the end of the term.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Sunderland attacker said: ‘It’s been really tough for him in the past couple of seasons. He’s got lots of important qualities – but is he really up there at that Man United level?
‘With the new manager coming in, a new chapter for them – I don’t think he’s a player who can really move with them as they go to the next level.
‘I haven’t seen enough from him to suggest that he’s ready to become one of the great Man United right-backs.
‘I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a player who gets moved on this summer in order to free up a wage to do business in the transfer window.’
