Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly still firmly in the hunt for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The 23-year-old centre-back has enjoyed a strong 2020-21 season for his Italian team, playing 37 games in all competitions, including 34 in Serie A, where he managed to found back of the net three times.
Milenkovic’s current contract with Serie A giants is due to expire next June, though, and it does not appear that he will be signing an extension, making a summer exit likely.
The Red Devils and the Gunnners interest in the Serbia international had thought to have cooled, however, according to La Nazione, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are still favourites to lure him at Old Trafford.
The report suggests that AC Milan are also keeping a close tabs on developments, while West Ham United could also allegedly compete for his services during this summer’s transfer window.
Milenkovic – recently rumoured with both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur – has played 133 games for La Viola since arriving from Partizan back in 2017.
Arsenal have been left out of the Champions League football for the next season and it could give Man Utd advantage to lure him at Old Trafford.
