Manchester United handed massive boost in their pursuit of La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann, with the French forwad is no longer consider as an untouchable.
Atletico head-coach Diego Simeone is reportedly fed up of his team relying on the Frenchman and Griezmann has been substituted in half of their games in Spanish top-tier.
The Red Devils pursuit of the 26-year-old stretches back several years and they were on the verge to sign him this summer. However, Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban has seen Frenchman staying in Spain.
And, according to AS, Jose Mourinho’s side may have better luck shortly given Griezmann has reportedly lost his untouchable status under Diego Simeone.
With Diego Costa’s making a return to the Spanish capital, Griezmann is no longer considered as an indispensable.
The will face major competition for his signature, though, with hosts of European clubs are also keen on to secure the service of Frenchman including Atletico Madrid’s rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Griezman himself is believed to be keen on Manchester United move and it gives the Reds advantage in the race for his signature.
