Atletico Madrid midfield star Marcos Llorente has refused to rule out a move away from Wanda Metropolitano ahead of the next season.
The 26-year-old midfielder who is currently representing Spain at Euro 2020, excelled for La Liga champions during the 2020-21 season, founding back of the net 13 times and providing 12 assists in 45 games in all competitions.
Man United are allegedly keen on the Spaniard, with a report earlier this year suggested that the English heavyweights were prepared to pay £68.5m for his services.
Llorente has claimed that he is “happy” with Diego Simeone’s side, however, said that anything could happen.
“I have many years left [on my contract]. My idea is to stay, I’m fine, I’m happy at Atletico Madrid,” Llorente told AS. “We have had a great season winning La Liga. Anything can happen in football, but I don’t think about that kind of thing. I am happy and now I am with the national team.
“There were conversations a long time ago, it is true, but nothing happened and the negotiation was not completed. I have no problem.”
Llorente has scored 18 times and provided 17 assists in 81 games for Atletico Madrid since arriving from Real Madrid in July 2019.
