AC Milan have made contact with the London giants over the possibility of signing defender Fikayo Tomori. The Rossoneri have taken several of Blues bit-part footballers on-loan in years gone by, from Fernando Torres to Mario Pasalic, with mixed success, it has to be said.
They now appear keen on acquiring another England international, who has been starved of chances in the first-team under Frank Lampard. Fikayo proved his worth last campaign, but whether it be an issue with his manner at training or attitude, he hasn’t got a look-in this term.
Tomori does still have an outside chance of making the England squad for the European Championships, but only if he leaves the Blues now and impresses immediately. Tomori’s emerged as an option for the Rossoneri, who are right in the hunt for the Serie A title, so it’d be a great place for him to reaffirm his credentials.
Fikayo’s a good PL standard defender with the pace to improve a lot of defences so it does look like a loan spell would be the best thing for him.
There have been a few different claims going around about his future in the past week, but it appeared that he wouldn’t get to go anywhere after reports of the club blocking a loan move after an injury to Christensen.
