Juventus and Inter Milan have also registered interest in Chiesa, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is optimistic of getting his man.
The 21-year-old star has been continually connected with a switch to Chelsea in the latest months, as the Blues look to inject fresh blood in attacking zones.
Italian manager Maurizio Sarri was believed to be an admirer throughout his time with Napoli, but it seems as though the Blues could miss out.
Federico is set to cost his next employers as much as €60m, highlighting the quality the star possesses. He has won 11 caps for his country since making his debut in 2018, in a 2-0 defeat to Argentina.
The west London outfit shouldn’t give up on getting a deal for Italian star over the line, but a potential preference to stay in Serie A could work against them.
