Reported Liverpool target Abdulkadir Omur has expressed his desire to move to Premier League, but only if it is in his current side Trabzonspor’s “best interests.”
Turkish newspaper Aksam reported that German coach Jurgen Klopp was keen on bringing the £27 million-rated wonderkid to Anfield and that rumours have now been circulating around the British press.
The 19-year-old playmaker confirmed Liverpool’s interest in him during a press conference on Sunday: “Liverpool are a great club, one of the greatest in the world.”
“These offers are something Trabzonspor need to discuss. If the club gives the go-ahead talks can be held. The clubs interests take precedence. I’ll do whatever is in the clubs best interests.”
It has been said that Liverpool view Omur as a long-term replacement for the midfielder Adam Lallana, after the 30-year-old star’s consistent injury problems have seen him limited to just two EPL starts this season.
The prodigy is widely considered as the most promising talent in his native Turkey today and has two goals and four assists in 17 matches so far in 2018-19.
His deal runs until 2022 though, so his club won’t feel pressure to sell unless the star pushes for a move. There’s definitely interest from the EPL though, Trabzonspor have confirmed that.
