Not Raphina: Liverpool keen on to agree deal for Leeds United key player

Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing the services of Leeds United playmaker Kalvin Phillips during this summer’s transfer window.

The 26-year-old has recently been sidelined with a hamstring problem, however, he was again in stunning form for the Whites in the opening months of the 2021-22 season.

Phillips still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal at Elland Road, but his recent development has led to suggestions that Leeds could struggle to keep hold of him on a long-term basis.

According to El Nacional, the Merseyside Reds are huge admirers of the England international and could attempt to bring him to Anfield at the end of the campaign.

The report suggests that the Merseyside Reds are prepared to offer £33.4m for the playmaker, however, Leeds are not prepared to sell to another Premier League side at this moment in time.

Phillips has played 226 games for the Whites in all competitions since debuting in 2014, founding back of the net 14 times and providing 13 assists in the process.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly been told that Real Madrid value Eduardo Camavinga at £45m amid talks that the midfielder could depart from Bernabeu this summer.

The 19-year-old playmaker has only joined Los Blancos from Ligue 1 outfits Rennes last August and has played 20 games for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this campaign, founding back of the net once and providing one assist.

There has recently been rumors surrounding his future, though, with the teenager claiming to be frustrated by his lack of starts during the 2021-22 season.

According to El Nacional, Camavinga is already considering departing from the Spanish capital and has been alerted to interest from the Premier League in the shape of the Merseyside Reds.
