Burnley are interested in securing the services of Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips this summer according to the reports from Britain.
The 24-year-old defender was used heavily by Klopp in the second half of this campaign following the injuries of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez that ruled out them until the 2021/22 season.
Phillips started 18 games in all competitions and helped the Merseyside Reds to successive clean sheets to conclude the Premier League season.
However, with Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk closing in on returns from injury, and Ibrahima Konate joining from RB Leipzig in the upcoming week, The Sun claims that Phillips could depart from Anfield in order to play regular first-team football somewhere else.
It is reported that the Clarets, who conceded 55 goals in 38 league games in the 2020-21 season, have already made contact with the Merseyside Reds regarding a move for the defender.
Stoke City’s Nathan Collins is also expected to be on Sean Dyche’s shortlist ahead of the next campaign.
Liverpool are on the brink to announce the signing of Konate and another French defender Raphael Varane has been rumoured with a possible switch to Anfield.
