New Fulham coach and former Chelsea manager, Claudio Ranieri, is lining up a January move for midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to the latest reports.
Drinkwater joined Blues from Leicester City back in 2017 for a massive £35 million but he’s struggled to get regular playing time at Stamford Bridge and his departure from the club now seems inevitable.
The 28-year-old star was a key member of the Foxes side which famously won the EPL title under Claudio and the tactiacn looks keen to bring in players he’s worked with in the past as Italain looks to keep Fulham in the top flight.
Danny’s large salary means that the Cottagers will likely only take Englishman on loan initially, but they could look to make a permanent move for the versatilem idfielder if they manage to stay in the Premier League.
Ranieri is also expected to make swoops for some other players he worked with at Leicester City, including former Chelsea central defender Robert Huth.
This season, in all competitions (Community Shield, Premier League and Europa League), Danny Drinkwater has made just one appearance for the west London giants.
