La Liga giants, Real Madrid are reportedly keeping close tabs on Antonio Rudiger’s current contract situation at Chelsea.
The Germany international is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 campaign and, despite lengthy negotiations, is yet to commit his future to the UCL giants.
Rudiger has let it be known that he intends to remain at Stamford Bridge having become a vital part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans, although a recent report suggested that he is indeed considering his future in the capital amid interest from top teams from Europe.
According to AS, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing defensive reinforcements following the departure of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos’s exits, and Rudiger has caught the eye of Los Blancos.
The report also claims that talks over a new contract with Chelsea have hit a roadblock, and German centre-back will be free to negotiate with teams elsewhere in January as the Los Blancos seek to win the race for his services.
Rudiger played the full 90 minutes in the Blues 3-0 win over their London rivals Crystal Palace at the weekend and scored seven goals from 151 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge.
