Serie A giants deny they agree deal to secure signature of Liverpool starlet

The Serie A giants SS Lazio claim no deal has been agreed to land Liverpool youngster Bobby Adekanye, the club’s official website says.

The latest reports doing the rounds said the forward was close to joining the Italian club, with some even claiming a deal had gone through. That has been immediately denied by SS Lazio, however, who released a statement saying:

“In reference to the news released by some media, according to which SS Lazio have found an agreement with the player Bobby Adekanye, the club denies this and announces that it has not signed any contract, nor has it started negotiations for the aforementioned player.”

Adekanye’s future at Anfield outfit does appear to be up, having never quite made the name at the academy. SS Lazio is still a likely next destination for the 19-year-old ace, but as their statement says, nothing is set in stone yet.

Adekanye joined Reds from Barcelona back in 2015 and is blessed with quick feet and lightning pace. Consistency has forever been the Dutchman’s issue, however, and the star has never come close to making his senior team debut for the Reds.
