Serie A giants given green light to sign €20m-rated Chelsea forward

Inter Milan are interested in securing the services of Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech in the upcoming winter transfer window. The 29-year-old attacker was a star at Ajax and earned himself a move to the PL with the London giants in 2020.

Despite putting up some standout displays, Hakim has largely struggled to perform consistently and has flattered to deceive. Ziyech fell down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel, and that does not appear to have changed under Graham Potter.

At 29, the time is now for the London giants to cash in on the winger and recoup their losses. There is little to suggest that he can turn around his fortunes at Chelsea, and a parting of the ways could be the best way forward for all sides. One team keen on taking a punt on Morocco international is Inter Milan.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have endured a difficult start to the current season and lacks dynamism on the flanks. The loss of Ivan Perisic to Tottenham has also been a major blow for the Italian giants, who are yet to replace the Croatian’s dynamism going forward.

The Nerazzurri have built up a good relationship with the Blues and also facilitated a loan move for Romelu Lukaku last summer. The Moroccan attacker is on paper an upgrade over whoever Inter Milan have in their ranks on the wings and would add a much-needed mid-season impetus to the faltering Coppa Italia champions.
