According to recent reports, the London giants centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette is wanted by several top European teams, with the latest duo to enter the mix for his signature being Serie A sides Juventus and Milan. That’s according to a recent report, who claims the 30-year-old striker is likely to be a man in demand in the coming months.
With his deal ready to expire next summer, Alexandre could prove to be a cost-effective striking option for any club outside of England who will be free to speak with him as early as January 2022.
Since arriving at Arsenal in 2017 following a bumper £48m move from Lyon, Alexandre has gone on to feature in 172 games, in all tournaments, directly contributing to 94 goals, along the way.
However, with the Spanish manager understood to be keen to take Arsenal in a new direction and with Alexandre now 30-years-old, this campaign could very well be the French striker’s last in England’s top-flight as both sides look to take different paths.
At 30-years-old, Alexandre is by no means past his best. It would make sense for him to spend a few more years competing at the highest level before considering a move to a retirement home like the MLS. Whether he feels that way or is ready to go and earn bundles of cash somewhere in the sunshine remains to be seen.
