Spanish giants eyeing move for Liverpool 30-year-old forward

La Liga giants, Barcelona are reportedly ready to explore the possibility of securing the services of Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino during this summer’s transfer window.

The 30-year-old striker has entered the final 18 months of his deal at Anfield, and it has been reported that the Brazil international could decide against penning an extension.


According to El Nacional, the Merseyside Reds have agreed to sell Roberto Firmino if the right offer arrives this summer, and the Catalan giants are showing an interest in the forward.

The report suggests that the Reds value the South American in the region of £16.7m, which appeals to the Catalan heavyweights, as they attempt to bring in low-cost signings following to their financial issues.

Firmino has managed to found back of the net 94 times and provided 73 assists in 310 games for the Merseyside Reds since making the move to the Merseyside Reds from Hoffenheim in July 2015.

This term, the versatile attacker has scored seven goals and contributed four assists in 18 games, including an assist in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Brentford in the English top-tier.
