Jordan Henderson is very, very close to lifting the Premier League trophy.
The Liverpool captain has enjoyed a brilliant season and, if everything goes to plan, it will culminate in him adding a league winner’s medal to his collection.
It would go with his Champions League and Club World Cup medals, both of which were won in the past 12 months.
He’s not had a bad year, has he?
There might have been a time when the midfielder thought that nutmegging Paul Scholes would be as good as it gets.
In 2010, when Henderson was still a Sunderland player, he popped one through Scholes’ legs in a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Sunderland even felt compelled to tweet about the moment.
“Meanwhile, Henderson schools Scholes with a cheeky nutmeg. Textbook,” they wrote.

The tweet is doing the rounds once again on social media. It’s probably a good thing that Scholes isn’t on Twitter.
Behave. One’s a world class midfielder. The other is Paul Scholes. 😂😂😂— Mr S* (@Skidz_LFC) May 21, 2020
