UCL giants still want to sign key man despite his decision to stay at Arsenal beyond January

European heavyweights Manchester United are still interested in landing Arsenal central midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window, according to the latest reports in the British media.

A daily national tabloid newspaper, The Daily Express reports that Manchester United Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is keen to secure Aaron’s signature.

Ramsey’s current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the campaign, and the club’s management are not prepared to offer him a new deal.

It looks like Red Devils are now planning to take advantage of this by making a cut-price swoop for the Welsh international – offering Arsenal a transfer sum instead of them letting him leave on a free.

Manchester United made a similar move for Alexis Sanchez the previous season, offering Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange for the Chilean star, who was set to leave on a free at the end of the season.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea have been connected with moves for the Welshman too, but Aaron insists that he will not be leaving the Gunners until the end of the season.
