Video emerges of the incredible Steven Gerrard pass that ‘nobody talks about’

Steven Gerrard’s career reads like a childhood dream.

He joined his boyhood club, Liverpool, at the age of nine and went on to make more than 700 appearances for them, including several hundred as their captain.

A club legend, Gerrard enjoyed many great moments in a Liverpool shirt, including show-stopping performances in the 2005 Champions League final and 2006 FA Cup final.

The Premier League eluded Gerrard but there are many, many professionals who would swap careers with him in an instant.

Some moments that spring to mind when you think of his time at Liverpool include that goal against West Ham at the Millennium Stadium, or his thunderous strike against Olympiacos in 2004.

However a Liverpool fan has shared a video of a pass Gerrard made that “no one talks about”.

It came against Arsenal at Highbury in January 2002, during a campaign in which Gerard Houllier’s Reds would eventually finish runners-up behind the Gunners in the Premier League.

Liverpool went to north London in the first month of 2002 and earned a 1-1 draw, with Gerrard’s assist to John Arne Riise the standout moment.

The former England international played a sumptuous pass into the Norwegian’s path with the outside of his right-boot.

Gerrard’s passing didn’t go under the radar during his career but it’s safe to say that this deserves more attention.
